A Christian Facebook Group Banned Rainbow Emojis in the Comments. Guess What Happened Next.

From “No Rainbows” To An Oncoming Tsunami Of Them

One Facebook page got a lot of heat (or a lot of love depending on how you look at it) for making one stupid post.

Warriors for Christ was a Facebook group that focused on Christian values for members of the religious community. But, those values went a little far in the past few days.

The group posted this message stating that anybody who shared a rainbow emoji during this month would get banned from the group.

To add to “their point,” whoever was running the Facebook group at the time posted an addition picture in the comments of the post depicting the hand of God snatching a rainbow.

The members of the Facebook group, as you would imagine, didn’t take to this idea very well. This then lead to hundred of members responding in the comments with rainbow icons, emojis, and whatever else they could find.

It’s also important to note that it wasn’t just gay Christian members in the comments, but heterosexual Christians (as one commenter put it) who were above this petty act the poster had presented.

This then led to the admins of the group deleting the thread entirely to end the tirade of rainbows being thrown at them.

And as if that wasn’t enough, the entire Facebook group has now been taken down as the link to it no longer works.

Either the admins decided to just delete the page that now all of this unwanted attention is turning their way, or they have decided to make a duplicate group and go “into hiding” until all of the heat and attention goes away.

No matter which way they went, the admin(s) of that group knows better now than the spread nonsense like that.

I mean, no rainbow icons? Really?
