Man Rapes Another Man at Gunpoint: DC Police Seek Help

Man was sexually assaulted at gunpoint in his home and then robbed

D.C. police are seeking the help of the public in helping to catch a male suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed a male victim at gunpoint inside of the victim’s home in the District of Columbia.

As reported by the Washington Blade, “At approximately 6 a.m., an adult male awoke to an unknown suspect in his home,” a police statement says. “The suspect sexually assaulted the victim at gunpoint and then fled the location with some of the victim’s property,” it reads.

The rape and robbery took place on the 1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue, S.E. on Sunday morning, August 28. This particular area of the District is considered “upscale” and is located across the street from Lincoln Park, a section of Capitol Hill.

“There were no signs of forced entry into the residence,” the statement adds.

The suspect is described as a “black male, 5’8, in height, stocky build, approximately 200 pounds, medium to dark complexion and last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, and black shorts,” says the police report.

Police believe that the victim was intentionally targeted by the suspect, according to the official police statement.

DC Police spokesman, Officer Sean Hickman, said the police would not disclose any more information, including why the victim was targeted or if the man that was rapped is gay.

Additionally, the specific location of the victim’s home was not released, which is customary in most police reports.

A reward is being offered in the amount of $1000.00 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the assault.
