In addition, people who replaced 5 percent of their daily calories from animal protein to other protein resources had their risk of dying by heart disease by 50 percent.

Replacing red meats with nuts, seeds, legumes, and whole grains is a great idea. Eating these types of food will help you get a proper replacement for proteins. In fact, you’ll sometimes get more protein than when eating red meats. Plus, you will also get healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
