Beat Out & Expel His Homosexual Demon?
Back in January, 2013, Matthew Fenner, who’s now 23, was leaving his church after attending a prayer service.
Sadly, he met a terrible fate that day.
As he attempted to walk out from the service in Spindale, North Carolina, he found himself surrounded by what he says was nearly two dozen people. They kept him in the sanctuary and attacked him.
Fenner recalls being slapped, punched, choked, and blasted, a practice where church members scream at each other. All of these attacks were in an effort to “expel Fenner’s homosexual demons.”
Apparently, this isn’t the first time an incident like this has happened.
Fenner and his family used to be members of the Word of Faith Fellowship. The fellowship has a terrible reputation of beating up its own congregants.
The church, allegedly, would act out abusive actions such as punching, choking, and slamming members on floors. The justification for these actions is to “purify” the victims of any demons through physical force.
But it seems that these actions have finally caught up with the church organization. Not only is Matthew Fenner suing the group, but the Associated Press is investigating the group as well.

In fact, the AP’s investigation has led great evidence of these attacks. These investigations show that the church is willing to force its members to lie about the physical abuse in order to cover themselves in court.
The, alleged, lying doesn’t stop there however as the defense lawyer, David Terry, had gone on the record stating that on that night the congregation did not attack Fenner but hugged him and allowed him to leave after the 15 to 20 minute service.
But again, members of the church are going to court for the actions that Fenner is accusing them of.
The way that it has worked is that five members of the church are being tried separately.
The first to go to court is the 58-year-old minister of the church named Brooke Covington. She is being charged with kidnapping and assault and, if convicted, she could be spending two years in prison.
Adding to that, the other four defendants are Justin Covington, 20, Robert Walker Jr., 26, Adam Bartley, 25, Sarah Covington Anderson, 27.
It’s unknown what the actual relations are of the three Covingtons, but what is known is that they all live in the same home.
This aftermath of the attack on Fenner and the alleged church practices has been going for years, but with these court cases in the process, a resolution is sure to come.
