Natural ways to boost semen volume
If you are like most men – gay or straight – you put a premium on volume. Yep, that’s right. I’m talking about the amount and consistency of your man milk, otherwise known as semen.
For years, I struggled with being able to produce a decent amount of ejaculate. Oh, don’t me wrong. I have always been able to release. But the amount was just disappointing.
Not that I am big into comparisons or anything but you kind of notice this type of thing, particularly when you once had a powerful fountain that slowly changed into a trickle (if you get my drift).
At any rate, last year I decided to do something about it on my thirty-fifth birthday. Specifically, I scheduled a visit to my doctor for a checkup. Not holding anything back, I told him about my problem.
After he ran a bunch of tests (including testosterone) and did the usual things docs do as part of a physical, I waited for answers.
“There’s nothing wrong with you son. Your testosterone is a little low but otherwise, you are completely healthy,” he said to me a few days later, after the labs were in.
“Given what you said about – well – you know – I suggest looking at natural remedies,” he added.
I won’t bore you with all the details. Suffice it to say that his comments sent me on a personal journey of wellness. What I learned over the course of several months is this:

And so, without further delay, here are five things I do every day to help naturally increase my semen volume. Some of these may seem like common sense. Others, however, might surprise you.
1. I get plenty of sleep
In the past, I used to stay up all hours and grab some z’s when it suited me. The end result? Maybe five-hours of rest a night.
What I learned was this: most men need 7-8 hours per evening to stimulate the hormones responsible (in part) for releasing. At least that’s what the research says.
2. I get prostate massages
As gay men, we laugh about the term “prostate massage”. But maybe we shouldn’t? I’m here to tell you that having one done every once in a while, can really be beneficial.

3. I stay hydrated
On an intuitive level, this one makes sense. In order to produce seminal fluid, your body needs water. But that’s not going to happen when you keep feeding your system things like sugary pops and alcohol.
In reading the studies, I’ve found that drinking at least 8-10 glasses (8 fluid ounces) of water per day really makes a major difference when it comes to volume.
4. I take a multi-vitamin
In a perfect world, all of us would eat a healthy diet and not have to take any supplements. But as you know, the world isn’t perfect. In my case, I barely have time to put myself together in the morning, let alone (consistently) eat a healthy breakfast.
As a “just in case”, I take a multi-vitamin each day. Doing so allows me to compensate for the nutrients I may be missing because of a (somewhat) poor diet.
There are lots of options on the market. Personally, I like Men’s One-A-Day gummy vitamins because they don’t upset my stomach (see Amazon).
But you may find traditional, pill-based vitamins work just fine. The point is that by using this supplement, it helps me to get synthetically what I should be getting naturally.
5. I eat an orange
As a sexually active man, I’m not ashamed to say that I like hooking up. This means that when the situation presents itself and the feeling is mutual, I’m usually down to (well, you know).
But did know that being constipated can interfere with your volume production. Yep, it’s true!
That’s where oranges come in. Not only are they good for you, they also help to prevent constipation. Like I said, when you are backed up really bad, you place pressure on your prostate in ways that minimize a (healthy) semen release.
Come hook or crook, I make sure that by the end of each day, I’ve eaten at least one orange to keep me regular. You can read more about how oranges can help you in this area by checking out this post on Healthline.
Since implementing the five things I’ve mentioned above, I can share with you that the volume and power behind my releases have vastly improved.
Now obviously, a regular exercise and healthy diet impact what we are talking about. But you probably already knew that, right?
OMG, I almost forgot to tell you. Just like week, I accidentally got myself in the eye. While it’s not something I am proud of or think is funny, I will say that before making these lifestyle changes, that would have never happened.
