It’s a scary time. In the very near future, Washington, DC is about to be taken over by elements of a political party (GOP) who are 100% committed to taking rights away from:
- LGBTQ inviduals
- Women
- Immigrants
For those within the LGBTQ spectrum specifically who continue to repeat the foolish mantra that “Trump won’t hurt gays” you need to think again.
The man has already appointed one of the most virulent anti-gay individuals on the planet to his transition team.
And don’t forget, the head of the transition team also happens to be Mr. Mike Pence; a man who has made it his life’s work to reduce and or eliminate the rights of LGBTQ everywhere.
In addition to what has been stated above, funding for life sustaining services/programs that keep our most vulnerable people alive is at risk. That’s not an overstatement and it’s not hyperbole.
Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security all now appear to be on the chopping block.
We can either cry in our soup and ring our hands about what may happen or we can do something about it.

Lambda Legal is national civil rights organization that’s focused on fighting for the civil rights for people within the LGBTQ spectrum. This includes marriage equality, workplace discrimination and HIV related issues.

The ACLU is an important civil rights organization that is dedicated to defending and preserving rights that are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
