Tom Holland is the man of the hour right now. The 21-year-old is staring in Spider-man: Homecoming which is bound to be one of the hottest films of the Summer 2017 season (next to Wonder Woman).

1. Went to A Prestigious Arts School

Tom Holland started off his career by going to the right school to get ahead. He went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology.

The school has many notable alumni like Adele, Amy Whinehouse, Jessie J, Imogen Heap, and more.

2. He Got Noticed For His Dance Skills

After going to the BRIT School, Holland took a hip hop class at Nifty Feet Dance School in Wimbledon. It was there that he was discovered by choreographer Lynne Page (a friend of Peter Darling, choreographer of Billy Elliot and Billy Elliot the Musical).

This led to Tom Holland auditioning eight times for the musical and going through 2 years of training before he participated in the debut of Billy Elliot the Musical on the West End.

Holland first started out by playing Micheal, Elliot's gay best friend, but then three months after his debut Holland took the stage as the lead role.

3. His Father Wrote An Ebook About how Holland is More Famous

Tom's father, Dominic Holland, is a comedian, author, and tv writer. But, Dominic is so aware of his son's fame that he wrote and Ebook called, “How Tom Holland Eclipsed His Dad.”

“I have been trying to make it as a star for a long time. For more than 20 years, my entire income has come from making people laugh — or trying to. I am a professional comedian, a published novelist and a general wit for hire. Many of my routines are inspired by my four sons Tom, 16, twins Sam and Harry, 13, and Paddy, eight,” Dominic wrote. “But I am the first to admit that I have never been a household name.”

4. He Loves His Dog

Hollands owns a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Tessa. He loves that dog.

There are multiple Instagram and Twitter pictures up on the internet of Holland and Tessa hanging out or taking a selfie.

In fact, Holland admitted that he was in the middle of giving Tessa a bath before he got the call that he was cast as Spider-man.

5. His Favorite Movie is “Saving Private Ryan”

Even though Tom Holland is in the public eye now, he still is a young adult who loves to enjoy himself.

Holland takes pleasure in relaxing and enjoying his hobbies such as getting on the trampoline in his backyard, freerunning, hanging out with his dog, or watching his favorite movie.

6. He Shocks Himself

Tom Holland isn't afraid to go through pain in order to see results. So, he is even willing to shock himself regularly.

Holland spends 20 mins a week giving himself electric shocks, nothing too major, to help with his fitness training. Intense.

This past June, Holland announced that he was opening up a trust fund called The Brothers Trust Fund.

The trust will hold events and the proceeds from these events will go to one of many charities that the brothers love. Some of the charities include:

  • The Lunchbowl Network, which helps feed children in Kenya
  • Momentum, which helps Kinsington Hospital, where the Holland brothers were born
  • DEBRA, a charity that helps patients and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa.
