The Euphoria Craze
A major basketball star has us wondering, should more adult men be watching Euphoria like LeBron James?
It seems like Euphoria is the latest show-to-watch, but it hasn’t caught mainstream audiences yet. The show is a critic success and controversial production. Entertainment writers love the show’s dark but realistic view at teenage life and angst.
On top of that, the series has only been running for less than a month yet it’s constantly being written about for its controversial storytelling. The series centers around the romance between two teenage girls, the first fews episodes included a scene with 30 uncensored penises and a sex scene between an adult man and a teenager, and another episode included an animated 69 scene about One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles.
But again, all of the controversy and mature storytelling has caught the attention of several viewers. Though, the show is nowhere as popular as HBO’s Game of Thrones. But with the series’ latest public recommendation, things might be changing.

LeBron James Loves Euphoria?
Now that basketball is in its offseason, sports legend LeBron James has the time to sit down and watch some tv. And it looks like he may have found a new favorite. Yes despite having a crazy year of juggling his athletic career with NBA finalists Los Angeles Lakers and preparing for the ever anticipated Space Jam 2, James found the time to give props to his new favorite show Euphoria.
Sharing his love on Twitter this past Tuesday, LeBron James tagged Euphoria and Spider-Man: Far From Home star Zendaya.
“S/O lil sis @Zendaya and the entire cast from ‘Euphoria’. Love love love that show. Super dope and a real perspective of what these teenagers have to do with [sic; he corrected to ‘deal with' in a follow-up tweet] daily. I know it’s a show but real life Parents please listen but more importantly just pay attention to signs!”

Men And Euphoria
But what did LeBron James mean about looking out for signs? Well, again, Euphoria tackles a lot of tough issues involving teens and adolescents today. From exploring sexuality to sex abuse, drug use, and more. And like former popular UK show Skins, Euphoria explores all these topics with a graphic and uncensored lens. In fact, Euphoria goes even further in detail.
While maybe not all adult men will find that a good reason to watch the mature teen drama, plenty of men will. This teen drama isn’t a drama for only teens but one about teens. And it’s a teen-focused drama that anyone (of a mature age) could watch. And for parents wanting to understand their kids more, the show could give them a graphic lesson.
So should more men watch Euphoria like LeBron James? We can’t say for sure. But we’re sure James wouldn’t be opposed.
