“I like who I am and I really like who I’m becoming”
Keiynan Lonsdale, the actor who plays “Kid Flash” on the CW’s superhero show, The Flash, came out to the world as bisexual in a touching Instagram post this weekend.

The 25-year-old Australian handsome actor, who also has appeared in ABC’s Dance Academy, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, and The Finest Hours—wrote in his post:
“I like to change my hair, I like to take risks with how I dress, I like girls, & I like guys (yes), I like growing, I like learning, I like who I am and I really like who I’m becoming.” He also shared that he’s done with “of being insecure, ashamed and scared.”
“No one should feel like that about themselves, especially when there is so much good life to live.”
On Flash, Lonsdale’s character, Wally West, is the brother of Flash’s love interest Iris West (Candice Patton). He also has similar speed abilities as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).

Lonsdale also took to Twitter and thanked everyone for their support. “Nothing better than happy tears,” he tweeted. “The love is beyond measurable, thank you. Don’t forget to give that same love back to yourselves.”
Flash’s inventor, Greg Berlanti, has created a welcoming environment for LGBTQ actors for stars like Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Andy Mientus (Pied Piper), Colton Haynes (Arrow), Victor Garber (Martin Stein) and has infused gay characters such as Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum) and police detective David Singh (Patrick Sabongui).
As reported by Logo, queer actor Ezra Miller will play the Flash in the upcoming Justice League film.
A quick look at Lonsdale’s IMDb file reveals that he got he began in career in 2015 on HBO’s First Look in a TV documentary.
