Parks Denton Strikes At The Heart Of Gay Twitter?

Something strange went down on Twitter late last night.

A large number of the gay community realized all at once that they were all being catfished by the same fictional guy!

What happened was that several men were being messaged by an account with the name “Parks Denton.” Connected to the account was what looked like “a cute otter.”

This account followed, contacted, and flirted with several other twitter accounts for months before suddenly vanishing last night.

Come this morning, a large amount of gay men started to realize that something was wrong. That created an influx of tweets about this “Parks Denton” and suddenly gay twitter was abuzz with drama.

Who was this “Parks Denton?” How did this person contact so many people and keep it all straight? Was all of this really worth the joke?

Well… on that last night it might just have been. Especially if you check out some of the tweets of confusion as people who suddenly woke up from their catfish dream.

We’ve got to say, its pretty weird and oddly entertaining.

To whoever “Parks Denton” was (if it’s just one person or several), while we don’t appreciate your trickery we do admit the humor in the reaction afterwards.

Some of gay twitter is hurt (and rightfully so) and most are confused, but all are at least amused.

But don’t do it again.
