Chalamet Donated $1000 To The LGBTQ Center

Timothée Chalamet is touching our hearts yet again.

A viral video from the recent Golden Globes shows that Chalamet has a heart of gold. Especially, when it comes to LGBTQ charity work.

The video below shows Chalamet being interviewed while on the red carpet. Chalamet is rocking an Adam Rippon inspired sequin harness with a bib attachment. While talking to Entertainment Weekly, a representative of the champagne company Moët offers Chalamet a bottle.  The man also says that the company “will give $1,000 to the charity of [his] choice.”

Chalamet first asks “Are you serious?” before following up with a quick response. He says the Moët champagne company, which is clearly doing this as a marketing stunt but we’ll accept it, should donate the money to the “LGBTQ center in New York.”

Entertainment Tonight’s red carpet reporter then commends Chalamet with a comment of “Good for you!”

This is not the first time that Timothée Chalamet has donated to the LGBTQ community and other charities.

Last year, Chalamet proclaimed that he would donate all of his funds for his part in A Rainy Day in New York. This was his way of overcoming the fact that it’s a Woody Allen film. Chalamet then shared that all his proceeds will go to the same LGBTQ center in New York City.

But that’s not all, Timothée Chalamet also donated part of his salary for Call Me By Your Name to anti-sexual harassment organization Time’s Up and sexual abuse charity RAINN.

It seems that Chalamet is committed to giving back. Especially to the communities that have helped raise him up to where he is today.

“I want to be worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with the brave artists who are fighting for all people to be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve”
